This tweet brought a tear to my eye, both from laughter and sadness. As with any methodology, the way for PDCA to reach its potential is to use it as it was intended. Most companies I've seen who have attempted to implement the Toyota Production System fail because they see it as a series of tools they can pick and choose to implement. They don't realise that the tools are just one part of it - it's the entire culture which they need to adapt and do. Mis-matching methodologies will usually fail because it's like drinking coffee with orange juice. They don't belong together.
