Incase pushes back relaunch of the beloved Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard to later in 2025

Incase has taken up manufacturing of Microsoft's legendary ergonomic keyboard line, but we're still waiting for their release.

Update 3 June 2025:

If you're looking for the older, but still amazing Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard, it's now available for order from Incase at USD 120. It took them a while, but they finally delivered!

If you're also looking for the mouse packaged with the keyboard, the Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop will set you back USD 180, and as of writing, it's out of stock. I recommend forgoing the mouse, and buying a Logitech MX Vertical instead, which is a far superior mouse when it comes to ergonomics and pain management.

With the Compact Ergonomic Keyboard though, we’re into Q3 and still no sign of launch. If you recall this is the keyboard which Microsoft designed, but didn't release, before selling the hardware accessory line. Incase promised an “early 2025” launch, and based on their track record so far, we will either be seeing a release by June 2025, or they’ll push it back to the second half of 2025. Take a look here for an initial review of the specs, especially compared to the Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard: https://www.bulsuk.com/2025/01/incase-announces-new-microsoft.html.

Update 15 Feb 2025:

While Incase has announced a new Compact Ergonomic Keyboard (read more here), it is still not available for sale.

Update 2 Jan 2025:

Incase have started to launch a limited line of items, but are still waiting for their ergonomic range to be available. Read more here.

Original article (7 October 2024):

It's been a while since we last heard from Incase, the guys who had bought the rights to manufacture Microsoft's hardware accessory line, including the much loved Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard. When Microsoft announced its cancellation, there were quite a few fans who were left distraught.

Originally slated to relaunch in Q2 2024, the latest news has pushed that back to Q4 2024 which as of publication, we're now in. Hopefully all of you who needed Microsoft's hardware had stocked up before prices went through the roof.

If you need a new split ergonomic keyboard now, and can't wait for Incase to relaunch the Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard, try checking out the Keychron K11 Pro, which I reviewed and highly recommend as an alternative.
