Only print a few documents a year? Thai company Double A has the solution for you.
Although printers are a dime a dozen, there’s really not much incentive to buy one if you only print a few documents a year.
Double A, a Thai paper manufacturer, has tapped into this market by placing multi-function printers in selected locations throughout Bangkok, such as convenience stores, apartment complexes, schools and other convenient locations.
People can then print from their smartphones and tablets by downloading the app. Through it, you can send documents stored on your phone (including photos) or cloud storage such as Dropbox to the printer nearest to you.
Payment is done through the app via prepaid credit, credit card, or even Line Pay, the latest mobile payment method attempting to dominate the Asian market.
It is an excellent alternative to owning a printer as it offers all the benefits without the need to buy a cheap inkjet to watch the ink cartridges dry out.
